On Wednesday November 8th, the UF|IFAS Gulf Coast Research and Education Center opened its doors to leaders from across the industry for a day focusing on current issues in Florida agriculture for the 2017 Florida Ag Expo.
The Renkema lab did its part by conducting workshops focused on beneficial insects. Registrants moved through a series of stations, getting some hands-on experience learning about the difference between bees and flies, different types of arthropods, entomopathogenic nematodes, and the importance of predators, parasitoids, and pollinators. Karol Krey, Braden Evans, Michael Hull, Iris Strzyzewski, Shashan Devkota, Marc Santos, and Ryan Batts were all on hand to share their knowledge and experience.
